How much does a telehealth appointment cost?
Telehealth is billed the same way as an in-person consultation, bulk billed for eligible patients, otherwise privately billed with a Medicare rebate. Eligibility criteria apply, and you'll know the fee before your appointment.
Do I need to be an existing patient?
Medicare telehealth rebates generally require an existing relationship with the practice. If you're new, book an in-person first visit, then telehealth is available for follow-ups.
What can telehealth be used for?
Prescription renewals, test results, mental health support, follow-ups, referrals and many ongoing or simple issues. Some concerns need an in-person examination, your doctor will let you know.
How do I get my prescription or referral afterwards?
Your doctor can send an electronic prescription to your phone, and email referrals or documents to you or the relevant provider after your consultation.
